Governor Soludo Promises Rapid Development for Anambra in 2025

The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Soludo, has pledged accelerated development and extended his heartfelt congratulations and greetings to all residents and people of Anambra State and Nigerians on the commencement of the New Year 2025.

In a statement released and signed by Christian Aburime, the Press Secretary to Governor Soludo, in his New Year message, Governor Soludo declared that the dawn of 2025 brings renewed hope and unparalleled opportunities for rapid transformation in Anambra.

“This comes in the wake of the signing into law of the 2025 appropriation bill of N606.99 billion, signaling a significant milestone in the administration’s quest to construct a thriving and prosperous smart megacity.

“The all-encompassing 2025 Anambra State budget reflects Governor Soludo’s unwavering commitment to revamping Anambra State through strategic investments in vital sectors.

“The administration’s primary focus remains on infrastructural development, economic transformation, and human capital development, with substantial allocations for education, healthcare, and road construction, among other key areas.

“In a bid to enhance the security of lives and property for the people of Anambra, the state government is set to launch “Operation Udo Ga Chi” (Operation Peace Shall Reign) post-January 25.

“This initiative will involve the deployment of over two hundred security vehicles for improved surveillance and stop-and-search operations across the state. Concurrently, efforts are being made to bolster forest security through the specialized training of forest guards in collaboration with local vigilantes and government officials.

“Governor Soludo, in his commitment to addressing security challenges with a harmonious carrot-and-stick approach, has offered an amnesty window to repentant criminal elements in the state until the end of February 2025. This gesture illustrates his dedication to peace and reconciliation.

“With Anambra State gearing up for an election year, the state government is urging all stakeholders, particularly the political class, to uphold peace and decorum throughout the electoral process.

“The prosperity of the state hinges on a selfless, collective dedication to peaceful and orderly conduct during this period to foster an environment conducive to overall development,” the statement read.

Governor Soludo reaffirmed his resolve to fulfill the promises outlined in the 2025 budget while urging all Ndi Anambra to collaborate with the government in realizing the vision of a thriving smart mega city.

He expressed his hope that the New Year will bring peace, progress, and prosperity to all residents of Anambra State.
