Governor Vows To Build More Industries In Ebonyi State

The Governor of Ebonyi State Southeast Nigeria, Chief Francis Nwifuru has reiterated commitment to build more Industries for the State to grow bove the line where everybody will not depend on the politics.

He made promise while addressing the people who came to welcome him back from Abuja to Abakaliki the State Capital after his Victory at the Supreme court.

Governor Nwifuru said; “I am confident that we have the strength to take up the responsibility of uniting our State. We have nothing here in Ebonyi, no functional industry. This is the only State in the Federation with no functional industry. The only industry we have is politics and that will no longer be the case.”

The Supreme Court had on Friday in Abuja, affirmed the election of Francis Nwifuru of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as Governor of Ebonyi State.

Ifeanyi Odii of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, had challenged the election of Nwifuru on the grounds of electoral malpractice.

He also said Nwifuru was not properly sponsored by his political party for the March 2023 election and not a valid member of the APC at the time he contested the election.
