Governor Yahaya Commends Nigerian Army’s Contribution To Peace, Security in Gombe State

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has commended the Nigerian Army for its role in strengthening the state’s security initiative and for ensuring peace and stability across the state.

Governor  Yahaya stated this during a courtesy visit by the newly posted Commander, 301 Field Artillery Regiment Gombe, Colonel Musa S. Ahmed, who was accompanied by the immediate past Commander, Colonel Abiah O. Ndah.

The Gombe State Governor stressed that the security of lives and property of the citizenry remained paramount in his administration and would continue to work assiduously to guard it.

While formally welcoming the new Commander, Governor Yahaya gave the Commander the assurances of the usual support of the State Government to the Nigerian Army and other security agencies in the task of  combating security challenges and maintaining the prevailing peace and tranquility in Gombe State.

The Governor also lauded the Nigerian Army for upholding professionalism on duty.

He pledged that his government would continue to sustain the partnership and maintain cordial relations with them in the task of combating crimes and criminalities.

Equally,  the governor commended the immediate past Commander, Colonel Ndah for his services to Gombe State and for contributing immensely to the maintainance of security during his period of service.

Governor Yahaya wished him success in his new assignment.

In the meantime, the new Commander, 301 Artillery Regiment, Col Ahmed has called for continued support and cooperation of the government and people of Gombe State to the Nigerian Army.

He said being an integral part of the security architecture in the State had enabled the army to achieve success in the national assignment, giving the assurances to work in synergy with the state government and sister- agencies towards maintaining peace, law and order.

Also, the immediate past Commander, Col. Ndah thanked Governor Inuwa for his unwavering support to the 301 FAR and the Nigerian Army, as well as other security agencies; and in particular, for his commitment to the protection of lives and property of the citizenry.
