Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has launched the All Progressives Congress (APC) digital membership registration and revalidation exercise in the state, expressing confidence that the initiative will strengthen the party’s structure and enhance its electoral prospects.
The governor inaugurated the exercise after revalidating his own membership at the APC State Secretariat, where he was registered by the party’s registration agent from Jekadafari Ward, Ukasha Hussaini, in the presence of the ward chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Muhammad Dan Gombe, and other party officials.
Describing the digital registration as a landmark innovation, Governor Inuwa Yahaya said it would provide an accurate reflection of the APC’s numerical strength nationwide.
He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the party’s national leadership for introducing the system, noting that the requirement for the e-registration and validation were the National Identity card, voters card and the APC membership cards, which he said would enhance credibility, transparency and the mobilisation of genuine members.
The governor urged APC members and supporters across Gombe State to participate fully and obtain digital certification as recognised party members.
He assured that adequate arrangements had been made to ensure a seamless, inclusive and hitch-free process throughout the state.

Reaffirming the party’s focus on good governance and sustainable development, Governor Yahaya said the APC-led administration in Gombe had recorded notable achievements, transforming the state’s socio-economic and infrastructural landscape.
“Our guiding principle is to improve conditions beyond what we inherited. Anyone in doubt only needs to reflect on the state of Gombe as we met it about seven years ago to appreciate how far we have come,” Governor Yahaya said.
He acknowledged that the achievements were made possible by the support of the APC and the people of the state, describing the party as firmly rooted in Gombe’s political landscape. He said that as the party leader in the state, he would continue to provide purposeful leadership aimed at securing even greater electoral victories.

The governor added that the digital registration and revalidation exercise would further strengthen the APC’s capacity to contest and win elections at all levels.
He also warned party members seeking to foment disunity, that the leadership would not hesitate to impose sanctions on anyone that would undermine the party’s unity and stability.
The Gombe State APC Chairman, Mr. Nitte Amangal, said the e-registration and validation was designed to strengthen the party’s membership base and improve organisational efficiency ahead of the 2027 general election.
Mr. Amangal noted that the governor’s formal participation in the registration signalled the commencement of the registration across the state.
He called on members at all levels to engage actively in the process.
