Governor Zulum Distributes Items In Gamboru Ngala

The Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, alongside Senator Kashim Shettima senator representing Borno central senatorial district were in Gamboru town of Ngala Local Government Area were they distribute food and non food items to IDP returnees.
A total number of 60,813 internally displaced persons in camps and those resettled in the community had received relived items.
The beneficiaries comprised of 39,903 women who each got 5,000 naira cash and a wrapper, plus 15,350 men, some of them married to the women, who earlier received 25kg of rice and 25kg of maize each.
On the second day of his tour, another 5,560 IDPs recently resettled in Wulgo town also in Ngala LGA were supported.
Amongst those from Wulgo, 3,360 females received 5,000 Naira cash and a wrapper while 2,200 men got 25kg of rice and 25kg of maize each.
In the same vain Governor Zulum, visited the General Hospital in Ngala LGA, and a primary healthcare centre in Gamboru town.
During the visit, the Governor interacted with doctors, nurses and other health workers, and listened to issues they raised with a promise to addressing them head on.
He further announced that he will approve salaries that will match whatever International NGOs are using to attract doctors to operate in Ngala.
Zulum also ordered for the construction building of a Police, Immigration barracks, shopping complex, Arabic school with the Plan to urbanize Gamboru, and other border towns which he said some of the Federal government buildings were razed down during the Boko haram peak
“Gamboru Ngala is one of our border towns, and there is the need for us to urbanize all the border towns in Borno State in order to enhance commercial and social trading activities”.
The Governor further directed the Borno State Geographic Information Services (BOGIS) to construct a new shopping complex in the town, asking the Executive Secretary of BOGIS Engr. Adam Bababe to submit a budget for the project.
