Governorship Aspirant to Empower Ebonyi people with Vocational Skills

To curb unemployment, insecurity and youth restiveness in Nigeria, the governorship aspirant under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Ebonyi State Southeast Nigeria,  Sunday Opoke has promised to empower Ebonyi youths on different Vocational Skills.

 

The Aspirant stated this while addressing Journalists on his ambition to become the Governor of the State at San Diego Hotels in Abakaliki the State Capital.

 

Opoke said the level with which Ebonyi youths were operating economically was not in consonance with the international best practices.

 

“There is going to be rule of law in my Government if I become the the Governor.”

 

“I have lived in the developed Countries of the World and discovered that things are not actually working well in our society here.”

 

He promised to enforce attitudinal change among Nigerians explaining; “Everybody must have positive attitudinal change towards one another and on everything they do.”

 

Wealth Creation

“In my administration, every youth must be properly engaged, “ he stated.

There will be no insecurity, communal clashes or restiveness because there will be no room for that.

 

Any youth in Ebonyi State must be busy contributing to the development of the State and Nigeria at large,” he explained.

 

He said Ebonyi Youth would be involved in creating wealth for the state, thereby making a living for themselves.

 

Am not going to campaign about Basic Social amenities because it is statutory right to the citizens,” he stated.

 

He said provision of Education, Health and general welfare would remain sacrosanct in his administration.

 

Opoke was the immediate past General Manager of Ebonyi Rural Water supply and Sanitation Agency, who resigned to contest for Governorship position in the State.
