The Governorship election started late at most of the polling unites in Famgbe community Yenagoa local government area of Bayelsa State, Southern, Nigeria.
Election started at about 10:57 am at Yenequi play ground, unit 008, in Famgbe community, Yenagoa local government area of Bayelsa State Southern Nigeria.
According to one of the electorates, who is the Yenagoa local government area chairman, Bayelsa State, Southern, Nigeria, Honourable Tobi Andy, stated the reason for the delay, ” initially at the starting point, there was a clash between the two major parties in the community and I thank the various security agencies that came on top of the situation”.
He went further to thank the INEC officers for the easy of the election materials that made it possible for electorates to cast their votes to the right candidate of their choice.
In the same vein, another, Barrister Osomkime Blankson also appreciated the effort of the INEC officers of their election materials.
He advised Politicans and political parties to play by the rule and anyone that violate the rule should be held responsible for their actions.
