A political pressure group known as Concerned Citizens’ Support Group of Nigeria has called on Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Southern Nigeria, to join the 2023 Presidential race.

During a media briefing, the National Coordinator of the group Mr Muhammed Arube made the call in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital. The call was based on Governor Wike’s track record in Rivers State.

Mr Arube also said that the Governor in recent times “has turned the State into a massive construction site, building critical infrastructures which have a direct impact on the socio-economic lives of the good people of Rivers State.”

He further said that Mr Wike has the leadership charisma to put Nigeria on the “economic prosperity and growth path.”

Mr Arube reiterated that “the seat of a President of the giant of Africa should be for persons of impeccable character, vision, courage and empathy.”
