A group of supporters from Damboa, Gwoza and Chibok local government areas of Borno State has applauded Governor Babagana Zulum for the fatherly role he has been playing since he assumed the mantle of leadership in the state.
The Director General, Women Development Centre Dr. Asabe Villita Bashir, led the team of supporters in solidarity to the multi purpose hall of the government house in Maiduguri.
Speaking at the gathering Dr. Asabe said ” on behalf of the group I want to pledge our total support to you our governor, and our leader I will also want to assure you and our party of my utmost co-operation and to abide with the party decisions as regards to the 2023 general election”.
She also urged the Borno State Governor to carry along her teeming supporters in the political processes.
Governor Zulum, in his remarks, thanked the group for coming and prayed for their safe return.
He also applauded the political strength of Dr. Asabe, adding that, ” I have known you to be grassroot mobilizer who has always been with her people you always care for them and show empathy, I must commend you”.
Zulum further said, ” but I want you all to know nobody makes someone something unless by the will of Allah, and whoever aspires to be a leader and eventually he or she becomes, you have to know it is the will of Allah.
“I also want to emphasise on the leadership positions at national assembly from this Constituency, no local government should have the monopoly of the two national assembly seats, other LGAs should be given equal opportunity.
