Group hails President Buhari’s integrity in recovering looted funds

The Buhari Media Support Group (BMSG) says the recovery of looted funds in Nigeria is a result of the integrity of Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari.

In a statement signed by the Coordinator and secretary of BMSG, Muhammed Labbo and Cassidy Madueke, the group said President Buhari was able to achieve such feat because he had for long identified corruption as one of the major problems afflicting the nation.

“With the level of poverty in Nigeria, it is indeed disheartening that Nigerians were mindlessly defrauded to the tune of trillions of naira and billions of dollars.

We are left in no doubt that the huge amount of money looted would be channelled towards projects that will positively impact on all Nigerians including security, infrastructure, social services, health and education.

“We decry a situation where a few individuals use their privileged positions to siphon public resources, thereby short-changing the generality of the people”.

The group appealed to Nigerians to continue to give their support to the President Buhari led administration to curtail corruption.
“We must bear in mind that this administration means well and is working in the best interest of all Nigerians, and as a people we can only reciprocate by supporting the efforts of the administration.”
