According to newsreports, the Coronation Group was one of participants in the recent Grand Procession of the Lord Mayor’s Show in London, which was the first time that Africa was part of the 805-year parade. The Lord Mayor’s Show is one of the best-known annual events in London as well as one of the longest-established, dating back to the 13th century.

A new Lord mayor is appointed every year, and the public parade that takes place as their inauguration ceremony reflects the most prominent office in England and subsequently the United Kingdom. This year occasion marked the induction of the newly-appointed Lord Mayor, Michael Mainelli. Countries that were part of the parade were China, Italy, Hong Kong, Switzerland, and Nigeria was represented by Lagos State.
