Group launches initiative to boost tech talents
The Telecommunication and Technology Sustainability Working Group has announced the launch of an initiative tagged ‘Innovation Makers Challenge,’ to encourage innovation among young talents in the country’s technology and telecommunications sectors.
The initiative would feature a talent discovery competition, an intensive boot camp, and culminate in a high-profile exhibition and conference.
The group stated that, “Young innovators aged between 18 and 35 are cordially invited to participate in the innovators challenge by showcasing their original technology-driven ideas and products.
The Lead Consultant of TTSWG Secretariat, Bekeme Olowola, added, “Nigeria is rich in talent that needs more support, encouragement, and development to flourish and become major contributors to the nation’s economic growth.
According to him, the country has often celebrated ideas that have no significant impact on national development.
“The IMC is designed to celebrate and empower young creativity in the technology space that can make a positive difference,” he remarked.
