In a bid to combat the declining reading culture among children, the chairman of  0410 CONSULTS LIMITED Mr. Goodluck Hayi, has launched a reading initiative Book the Kids Again, which encourages and enables students to read, interact, and review books.

Hayi stated that the initiative underscores the critical role of reading in children’s personal, social, and academic development.

During the launch event in Abuja., Mr. Hayi emphasized that reading is fundamental to success and well-being. “Reading exposes students to new ideas and perspectives, enabling them to better understand the world around them,” he stated.

The co-convener of Book the Kids Again, Mr. Eldad Onojetah, a software developer, also announced plans to develop an innovative app that will allow students to track their reading progress and engage with peers. “This tool will foster discipline and dedication in academic pursuits,” he explained.

The event also featured a reading competition among students from four schools in Abuja.

Miss Pearl Okereke, who emerged as the winner, expressed how the experience improved her research and communication skills.

“This competition has boosted my confidence and taught me how to process information more efficiently,” she shared.

The Book the Kids Again initiative aims to create a supportive community for young readers, encouraging them to explore literature and enhance their critical thinking skills. With technology at its core, the project seeks to inspire a new generation of lifelong readers.
