Group Launches Software To Promote Reading Among Student

The Book:“The Kids Again” project is set to launch a software that enable students read, interact and review books.
The convener of the project, Mr. Goodluck Hayi, said the initiative underscores the critical role of reading in children’s personal, social, and academic development.
During the launch event, Mr. Hayi emphasized that reading is fundamental to success and well-being. “Reading exposes students to new ideas and perspectives, enabling them to better understand the world around them,” he added.
Co-convener, of Book the Kids again, Mr. Eldad Onojetah, a software developer, announced plans to develop an innovative app that will allow students to track their reading progress and engage with peers. “This tool will foster discipline and dedication in academic pursuits,” he explained.
The event also featured a reading competition among students from four schools in Abuja. Miss Pearl Okereke who emerged as the winner, expressed how the experience improved her research and communication skills. “This competition has boosted my confidence and taught me how to process information more efficiently,” she said.
The Book: “the Kids Again” initiative aims to create a supportive community for young readers, encouraging them to explore literature and enhance their critical thinking skills. With technology at its core, the project seeks to inspire a new generation of lifelong readers.
