This is contained in a statement issued by the GSWMI-CSR team lead, Dr Lolade Akinrinlola, on Friday in Lagos.

Akinrinlola said it was pertinent to reach out to the displaced persons following the recent attacks in their communities.

“In the aftermath of this tragedy, hope emerged amidst the despair, thanks to the unwavering compassion of the Gbenga Samuel-Wemimo Ministries International (GSWMI) CSR, Jos chapter.

“In response to the suffering of the Bokkos people, the GSWMI-CSR Jos chapter, took a firm stand to be a beacon of light in their darkest hour.

“Driven by the message of love and the spirit of Christian service, they embarked on a mission to deliver much-needed aid to those who lost everything.

“The outreach is targeted at the four IDPs camps within the Bokkos community, where over 1,000 individuals found solace and support in the arms of GSWMI’s dedicated ministers and volunteers,” Akinrinlola said.

Akinrinlola added that the team kick-started the CSR activities this year by bringing comfort, dignity, and a glimmer of hope to the people of Bokkos.

She said vital material resources such as sanitary pads, baby diapers, and food supplies, among others were given to the displaced persons.

Akinrinlola noted that powerful message of resilience, shared humanity and the love of Christ was shared with the residents.

She said the people of Bokkos were filled with gratitude and joy, noting that it was good to see the undefeated spirit of a community mending its wounds.
