As the 2023 general elections campaign approaches, the APC National Integrity Movement, ANIM, along with various interest groups, have gathered to show their support for the All Progressives Congress, APC Presidential Candidate, Bola Tinubu, and his Vice-Presidential Candidate, Kashim Shettima.

The group stated this during a meeting with the Vice-presidential candidate Mr. Kashim Shettima in Abuja, Nigeria.

The group’s leader, Mr. Abubakar Saddiq, explained the motive of the group’s support in the coming 2023 general election.

“The APC National Integrity Movement is a group that encompasses various people from all works of life cutting across the country’s six geopolitical zones.

“The aim is to strategise ways that will help to ensure that both candidates are being voted for in the upcoming 2023 general election.”

He also pointed out that considering the effort of President Muhammadu Buhari to enhance the socio-economic development and the well-being of Nigerians, there is a need to ensure that the continuity of that giant step is maintained. Also, the APC party is one every Nigerian can count on.

Responding, the Vice Presidential appreciated the group’s gesture and urged them to do their best at the grassroots to ensure that APC wins the presidential election in 2023 and other political positions in Nigeria.

“When the campaign begins, go out and mobilize your people to vote Tinubu as the next president of Nigeria so that socio-economic development can strive in the country.”

Mr. Shettima also explained that Mr. Tinubu is in good health and mentally sound to lead Nigeria to the promised land, contrary to the insinuation of his health status.

“Asiwaju is mentally sound to rule this country contrary to some mischief makers about his health status, and he can bring development to the country as he did when he was governor of Lagos state.

“So Nigerians should disregard such talks and work for what is better for Nigeria in terms of economic and political development.”

The Vice-Presidential candidate, therefore, urged the Nigerian media to always focus more on the achievements of President Muhammadu Buhari’s APC-led government rather than the negatives, as this leads to denting the image of Nigeria to the world.
