The South East Renewed Hope Agenda (SERHA) has launched a notable empowerment program across all 21 local government areas in Anambra State.
The group is mobilising grassroots support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s bid for a second term. The inauguration and empowerment program took place on Saturday in Awka, the state capital.
The National Coordinator of SERHA, Belusochukwu Enwerem expressed confidence in President Tinubu’s genuine commitment to the Southeast region.
“Our primary focus is to educate the public about the Tinubu administration’s achievements over the past two years and to secure a second term for him,” Enwerem stated.
The event marked the introduction of dedicated ambassadors tasked with promoting messages of hope and good governance at the grassroots level. Enwerem underscored, “As ambassadors of renewed hope, we are committed to tirelessly campaigning for the re-election of President Tinubu in 2027.”

He highlighted several initiatives from the administration, including the establishment of the Southeast Renewed Hope Agenda and the Southeast Development Commission, both aimed at unlocking opportunities for regional growth.
“The administration is devoted to enhancing the lives of Southeasterners and all Nigerians, allowing them to experience the dividends of democracy and renewed hope,” he added.
The SERHA program also provided tangible support to local communities, distributing motorcycles, Keke buses, sewing machines, grinding machines, and hairdressing kits to enhance livelihoods. Enwerem announced a financial assistance program for families, with distributions of N200,000 to 100 individuals, N100,000 to 200 people, N50,000 to 300 individuals, and N20,000 to 500 indigent families.
“I would like to acknowledge the progress made by President Tinubu since taking office,” remarked Enwerem. “While challenges remain, his dedication to steering Nigeria toward greatness is evident.”
Professor Frank Anaeto, an Agricultural Extension expert from the Federal University of Technology Owerri, addressed attendees, characterizing SERHA as a movement uniting well-meaning Nigerians in support of President Tinubu’s re-election.
“This group is inclusive; everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate,” he urged, encouraging outreach to those typically disengaged from politics.

Chukwudi Anyanwuocha, Deputy National Coordinator, discussed the Tinubu administration’s substantial investments in the region, including the recently inaugurated Southeast Investment Company with an allocation exceeding 150 billion Naira. He countered misconceptions about the government’s commitment to the Southeast, stating, “Ask any critic which other region has received such attention from the administration.”
Anambra State Coordinator, Comrade Alphonsus Muonagolu, recognised the government’s progress in addressing socio-economic challenges, while urging citizens to exercise patience as the administration navigates ongoing obstacles.
He also highlighted SERHA’s immediate needs, including funding for vehicles and local offices to better engage with grassroots communities.
“These resources are vital for reaching local leaders, market women, and youth, and will facilitate our door-to-door campaign efforts for the re-election of our President,” Muonagolu emphasized, calling for collective effort in promoting unity and progress for Anambra State.
“This initiative is seen as a pivotal step towards building a sustainable future for all citizens, fostering economic interest from the government, and ensuring that the population benefits from ongoing development projects,” he concluded.
