Guber Polls: Osinbajo Votes, Expresses satisfaction At Conduct Of Election

Nigeria’s Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and his wife, Dolapo, have cast their votes in Saturday’s Governorship and State Assembly Elections in Nigeria.

They voted at about 10.36am Nigerian time after their accreditation at the Polling Unit 14, Erungege, Ikenne Ward 1, Ikenne LGA, Ogun State.

Speaking to the media, Vice President Osinbajo described the exercise as excellent and expressed hope that it was the same across Nigeria.

He said; “I think from here, my polling unit, it is excellent; I think everything is peaceful and the whole process has been conducted very well.

“I just hope and pray that this is how it is being carried on across the nation, but it has been a very pleasant experience.”

“I am glad that I’ve been able to cast my vote and also that many of us who want to cast their votes today have been able to cast their votes,” the Vice President said.

 

Voting started at the Polling Unit 14, Erungege, Ikenne Ward 1 at 8.30 am, Nigerian time, and everything has been going on smoothly at the unit.
