Political party agents in Enugu State have commended the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in the State for their promptness in distributing election materials.
They said INEC did well unlike the ugly situation that rocked the Presidential and House of Representatives Elections where voting materials were received late.
The Party agents confirmed that the sharing and movement of election materials was smooth, with a heavy presence of security agencies at the INEC Registration Area Centre, RAC, office in Nsukka.
Materials arrived at some polling units in the town as early as 8.30 am, local time.
Both the Governorship and House of Assembly elections are being held ‘amidst heavy security put in place for a hitch-free election.’
The electoral officer in charge of Nsukka Local Government Area, Nnenaya Ama urged “residents to cast their votes wisely to enjoy the dividends of democracy.”
She emphatically gave assurances that all eligible voters would have the opportunity to cast their votes.
