A Fulani leader and chairman of Maliya Cattle Market, Mallam Saleh Manga, says he is optimistic that the gubernatorial candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) for Nasarawa state, Abdullahi Yakubu Maidoya, will emerge as the state’s next governor.

Abdullahi Yakubu Maidoya, the NNPP’s gubernatorial candidate for Nasarawa state, North-Central Nigeria.

Manga was very hopeful that Maidoya would floor the incumbent Governor Abdullahi A. Sule, who is seeking re-election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a statement issued to journalists, he described the NNPP’s governorship aspirant as the only candidate, amongst all contesting the governorship position, who has all it takes to change the fortunes of the state for good.

The Fulani leader, however, called on supporters and party faithful not to relent in mobilizing voters across the state to guarantee a landslide victory.
He also warned youths against being used for thuggery before, during, and after the general elections.
Meanwhile, the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, a Fulani socio-cultural group, had a week ago endorsed the re-election bid of Governor Sule.
