Hajj Commission Begins Screening Of Airlines

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCOH has announced that the screening of airlines for the 2023 Hajj operation will begin in the first week of March.

The Chairman of the Commission Alhaji Zikrullah Hassan, announced this at the interactive session with Journalists, in Abuja the nation’s capital.

Alhaji Zikirullah said that “the interactive session with the media aimed to foster a deeper understanding with media professionals.”

He said that the Commission was working assiduously to ensure that the 2023 Hajj operation was conducted smoothly and to enable Nigerian pilgrims to perform an acceptable hajj rite.Y

You are aware that 95,000 seats have been given to Nigeria and I must also tell you that we have gone to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for our first Pre-Hajj visit to familiarise and screen service providers. We have already allocated hajj slots to the 36 states of the Federation, the Federal Capital Territory and the Armed Forces. We are in the process of doing so many other things after which we will have another media interface. We intend to start screening the airline by the first week of March. I can assure you that this year’s hajj will be hitch-free. This year the coast is very clear by God’s grace,” Alhaji Zikirullah explained.

In his goodwill message, the NAHCON’s Commissioner in charge of Operation, Alhaji Abdullahi Magaji-Hardawa urged the Media to keep up the good works as they are the ones in the public domain who serve as the image makers of the Commission.

Alhaji Magaji-Hardawa called on the Media to support the Commission to achieve hitch-free hajj operations in 2023.

The Commission is determined to satisfy the expectations of the Nigerian pilgrims for this year’s Hajj… The doors of the commission are always open to suggestions and prepared to answer questions from you as credible partners of the commission,” he stated.

The NAHCON Commissioner for Planning, research, information, statistics and Library Services, Suleiman Momoh commended Journalists for showing professionalism in their reportage.
