Hajj: Niger State Pilgrim Board Promises Improved Accommodations To Makkah

The Executive Secretary of Niger State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Sheikh Mohammad Awwal Aliyu, has reaffirmed the board’s commitment to ensuring that pilgrims from the state enjoy improved hotel accommodations closer to the holy mosque during their pilgrimage in Makkah.

 

He made this statement during a courtesy visit to the Former Governor of the State, His Excellency Umaru Mohammad Bago. The visit, led by Sheikh Mohammad Awwal Aliyu executive secretary of the Board and Chairman Sheikh Abubakar Mohammad Beji, aimed to familiarise the newly appointed Chairman and Members of the board with the Farmer Governor and brief him on the pre-Hajj visit to Makkah.

 

The Executive Secretary highlighted the Governor’s crucial role in facilitating a smooth pre-Hajj visit to establish necessary arrangements and protocols with Saudi Arabian authorities. He also shared insights into challenges and opportunities identified during the visit, expressing confidence in the board’s ability to address them, providing a memorable Hajj experience for all pilgrims from Niger State.

 

In his response, the Former Governor commended the efforts of the Executive Secretary for effectively representing the state during the pre-Hajj visit.

 

Bago stated, “I acknowledged the significance of the Hajj pilgrimage and assured the board of my support in facilitating a smooth and safe journey for the pilgrims.”

 

The courtesy visit and briefing by the pilgrims’ board served as a platform for the Executive Secretary, Chairman, and board members to establish a robust relationship with the governor, ensuring effective coordination for the upcoming 2024 Hajj pilgrimage.
