Head of Service Tasks Journalists On Professionalism

The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Folashade Yemi-Esan, has emphasized the importance of professionalism in journalism.

Yemi-Esan stated this during a media parley held as part of the 2024 Civil Service Week in Abuja.

She highlighted journalists’ role as guardians and custodians of societal values, stressing their responsibility to uphold the integrity of Nigeria through impartial reporting.

Yemi-Esan urged journalists to resist manipulation and safeguard the service’s principles of meritocracy and professionalism.

She emphasized the significance of journalists viewing their work as a means to preserve government programs aimed at fostering development and ensuring the welfare of Nigerians.

Yemi-Esan encouraged journalists to prioritize sustaining and improving their relationship with the Service in the best interest of the nation.
