Heartland falls as Heavyweights crash in Federation Cup

Nigeria Premier League side, Heartland FC of Owerri is out of this year’s Federation Cup after losing to non-league side, Top World FC of Ekiti.

The Owerri based side lost 4-3 on penalties to the Ekiti club after both sides failed to produce a goal in regulation time at Oleh Township Stadium.

Giwa FC of Jos fell 2-0 to Sunshine Stars of Akure at the Confluence stadium, Lokoja.

Another NPFL club, MFM of Lagos struggled to eliminate El-Kanemi Babes of Maiduguri on penalties in Kaduna.
