Highlights of 2nd Africa Military Games In Abuja
The stage is set for the 2nd edition of the Africa Military Games (AMGA), which is being held from November 18th to 30th, 2024 at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, Nigeria.
The inaugural AMGA took place over 20 years ago, in Nairobi, Kenya, in April 2002.
The event presents a unique opportunity for our armed forces to showcase their skills, foster camaraderie amongst participants and strengthen military cooperation and partnership.
The games will provide a platform for the Armed Forces to compete at an international level, exchange best practices with their counterparts from other African countries.
It would also ensure to build lasting relationships that will contribute to the overall security and stability of the continent.
Athletes from military establishments across Africa will compete in nearly 20 sports, which includes Athletics, Football, Basketball, Golf, Shooting, Judo, Volleyball, Cycling, Handball, Boxing and more.
The Africa Military Games will run from November 18th – 30th, 2024 at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, Nigeria.
