Hope Raisers Global Foundation, a non-governmental organisation, has shared the spirit of Christmas by donating food and household items to 100 households in Pigbasama Community located on the outskirts of the nation’s capital, Abuja.

This humanitarian outreach programme focused on supporting women, families and vulnerable households.

In her goodwill message, Mrs Angonimi David Imeh, founder of the foundation, said the organisation wanted residents of the Pigbasama Community to feel the spirit and essence of Christmas, which is love, sharing and sacrifice.

She appreciated the warm reception accorded her team, particularly from the womenfolk who turned out in large numbers, as well as the men who supported the initiative.

This outreach is inspired by the spirit of Christmas, a season that reminds us of love, hope and our responsibility to care for one another,” she said.

She said hard work and confidence were vital, stressing the importance of self-belief in overcoming life’s challenges.

As women, we must remain strong, hard-working and confident, even in the face of difficulties, because self-belief is the foundation of empowerment. I understand the struggles of women and children, and that understanding continues to drive my passion to support and uplift them,” Imeh said.

Commitment

Members of the foundation also paid a courtesy visit to the traditional ruler of Pigbasama Community and Honourable Joshua Chinedu Obika, a respected lawmaker and community leader.

The Foundation’s founder also commended Honourable Joshua Chinedu Obika for his humility and leadership, recalling her first visit to his palace.

The highlight of the programme was the distribution of Christmas relief items, including 5kg bags of rice to beneficiary households, a gesture that brought smiles and excitement to many families.

A total of 100 households benefited from the outreach, comprising 88 women and 12 men representing different families within the community.

The outreach ended on a celebratory note with Christmas songs, dancing, group photographs and friendly interactions between members of the Hope Raisers Global Foundation and the Pigbasama Community, capturing the true meaning of Christmas centred on love, unity and hope.

The Hope Raisers Global Foundation expressed appreciation to its partners, donors, staff and volunteers whose collective support made the Christmas outreach programme a success.
