A cross-section of Educationists, Parents and children have lent their voice to the campaign against human trafficking.
To this end, they are seeking to empower children to acquire formal education and develop valuable skills.
This call to action was made during the graduation ceremony of Our Unique Children Model Academy in Abuja.

Mrs. Gladys Ekwueme Okoro, a seasoned educationist and proprietress of the school, said giving children quality education along with vocational sklils to the point of being trafficked.
“We must equip our children with both education and life-saving skills. This would place them at an advantage in the emerging global job market,” she said.
The Proprietress expressed her delight at the event’s success and the school’s consistent efforts in providing children with relevant orientation and education in skills from an early age.
“This approach aims to equip them to become trailblazers in the future,” she added.”
During the ceremony, students presented a thought-provoking presentation outlining the various types of human trafficking in persons, including sex trafficking, labor trafficking, and organ trafficking.
Highlights of the event included recognition and Long Serving Awards to dedicated teachers by Ginadys Spa; showcases of innovative skills in Music, Dance, Art, and public speaking by the Unique children and awards of scholarships and cash prizes to outstanding staff and students.
Overall, the graduation ceremony was a resounding success, emphasizing the importance of empowering children to become change-makers in society.
