Nigeria government has reiterated it’s commitment on supporting Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission HYPPADEC in its planning scheme of training over 5000 unemployed Youths across the 6 operational states of the organization
Secretary to the Government of the Federation Boss Mustapha stated this while flagging off of HYPPADEC Youth Transformation Programme targeted at empowering the youth.
Represented by the Minister of Youth and Sports Development Mr. Sunday Dare, Boss Mustapha said the empowerment of the targeted youths has became necessary because youths are the strength of the Nation.
“Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission HYPPADEC has keyed into Federal Government plan of turning Nigerian youths to become wealth creators self employed employers of labour and contribute positively to National development,“ added boss Mustapha.
Niger state Governor, Abubakar Sani Bello, who was represented by his Deputy, Ahmed Mohammed Ketso, applauded the Commission for targeting the 5000 on vocational and life changing skills said, “the scheme will transform the economic status of our people and uplift their living standard as it was designed to take place twice annually.”
He urged beneficiaries to see themselves as change agents among the teeming youths in their respective areas.
Managing Director HYPPADEC, Abubakar Sadik Yelwa said Organization is fully committed to achieving the yearnings and aspirations of members of participating states.
The Hydro electric power producing areas HYPPADEC covers the states of Benue, Kwara Kogi Plateau and Niger in North-Central Nigeria and Kebbi State in North-East Nigeria.
