Singer, Divine Ikubor, aka Rema, has revealed he was not paid for the collaboration he had with disk jockey, DJ Neptune, which was released on Friday.

Rema had earlier called out DJ Neptune on social media, for releasing the collaboration without his permission.

The song, titled ‘For You’, was the fourth track on the DJ’s second studio album, ‘Greatness 2.0’ released in the early hours of Friday.

In the long thread of tweets, Rema asked the DJ to retract the track.

In a reaction, singer, Do2dtun called on Rema to handle the situation professionally.

“I love Rema a lot. I hosted his first-ever listening. He just needs to find a better approach to things like this. You all recorded this together, we were not there.

“He also needs to address things with his representatives. Trust me, this won’t be more than a mere miscommunication,” he tweeted.

In a reply, Rema explained that he was blindsided in the whole process of releasing the song as he neither received payment nor gave his consent for the song’s release.

“OG we didn’t record it together, neither was I paid, neither did I sign any document, neither did the producer ask for my consent before releasing my stems.

“I was crossed, I’m not a hot head, I’m just a kid vouching for my art that’s all. I’m not a disrespectful person,” he said.
