Ibrahim Galadima Appointed Kano Pillars Acting Chairman
Kano Pillars have announced the appointment of Ibrahim Galadima as their acting chairman.
Galadima will take charge from Surajo Shuaibu Jambul who was recently sacked by the state government.
The sack of Jambul is not unconnected with his recent attack on an assistant referee during the rescheduled week 31 match between Pillars and Dakkada FC in Kano.
A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Abba Anwar reveals that “As Kano Pillars is facing more competition in National Premier League (NPL) it will be good to have leadership that could perfectly lead the club.
“Ibrahim Galadima, Chairman of Kano State Sports Commission, will now replace the current Chairman of Kano Pillars FC, Surajo Shu’aibu Yahaya, in an acting capacity, before the appointment of a substantive Chairman,” read the statement “The appointment is with immediate effect.”
Galadima was a former chairman of the Nigeria Football Federation.
He is the chairman of the Presidential Committee on the 10-Year Football Development Masterplan which is set to submit it’s blueprint to the Minister of Youth and Sports Development.
