IDP Resettlement: Governor Zulum To Construct 500 Housing Units

The Borno State Governor Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, was at Logumani community in Ngala local government to assess the possible return of its inhabitants after a long age of destruction by the exigencies of the insurgents.
Logumari is a smal community located in Ngala LGA, which is few kilometers away from Dikwa LGA. The town is considered to be a business hub linking Dikwa, Ngala and Gamborun Ngala which shares borderwith the republic of Chad.
In recent time, the community was deserted and totally destroyed for years by the Boko Haram insurgents, in that regard, Governor Zulum was on an assessment visit for possible return of its inhabitants, thereby instructing for the construction of 500 Housing Unit, provision of portable drinking water by drilling deep dug borehole, Re-construction of destroyed facilities in the town, Schools, Hospitals, Dispensary, Mosque among others.
Zulum had also pledged to boost the economy through Agricultural support, by providing Agro-allied equipment as must of the inhabitants are farming driven.
For Over a decade, Borno State has been an epicenter in the fight against the insurgents, but with the recent successes recorded by Nigeria government in collaboration with the Nigerian Army, the Borno State Government was able to return a huge number of Internally displaced persons, IDPs to their ancestoral homes in other to pick up their livelihood.
