Ikorodu City FC leads the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) after Match Day 25, defeating Niger Tornadoes 2–0 on Sunday, at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos State.

Joseph Arumala opened scoring for Ikorodu City in the 33rd minute from the spot after referee ruled Chidera Opara was fouled inside the penalty area.

Arumala then sealed victory late on, finishing calmly in the 88th minute after receiving a precise pass from defender Jaguar Uche.

“The feeling is the same whether we play at home or away. Every match matters to us,” Ikorodu City head coach, Bright Ozadegbe, said.

“Arumala is improving and taking it one goal at a time. He is important to us. We will keep picking points and see where we finish. We approach the season one game at a time.”

Ikorodu City’s Oga Boys recorded their 11th home win of the season, remaining unbeaten at their Onikan stronghold.

They have not lost at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, playing 13 home matches with nine wins and four draws.
