IMF boss targets strategies to boost economic growth
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director, Kristalina Georgieva is set to map out plans that will focus investments to green technologies in order to boost global economic growth.
She made the statement on Monday, highlighting concerns on climate change which she said had become a fundamental risk to economic and financial stability.
IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva told the Climate Adaptation Summit that global economic output could expand by 0.7% over the next 15 years and millions of jobs could be created if rising carbon prices rose steadily and investments expanded in green infrastructure.
