IMF Lowers Senegal’s 2022 GDP Estimate,
The International Monetary Fund, IMF says it has lowered Senegal’s 2022 Gross Domestic Product, GDP estimate to 4 per cent from 4.7 per cent.
IMF’s mission chief Edward Gemayel said this on Tuesday.
He said next year’s growth was expected to accelerate, however, it would come in lower than expected.
He said in November that the West African country’s economy was expected to grow 8.3 per cent in 2023 on the back of a temporary boost from oil and gas production.
