Immigration Service elevates officers

The Nigeran Government has decorated 15 new Assistant Comptrollers General ACGs for the Nigeria Immigration Service NIS.

Those decorated are part of the 13, 977 immigration personnel who were recently promoted.

Speaking during the decoration of newly promoted officers in Abuja, Secretary of the Civil Defence Correctional Fire and Immigration Services Board CDCFIB, Ahmed Ja’afaru said 95 officers were also promoted to the rank of Comptrollers, while five officers were given special promotions.

He said the officers given special promotions had excelled in given tasks, and that one of them did a job for the Service which would have cost it several millions of Naira.

Earlier in her remarks, Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service CGIS, Kemi Nandap, said the ceremony was a reflection of the government’s ongoing commitment to career progression and institutional growth that will intentionally eradicate career stagnation within the Service.

The Comptroller General however urged the newly promoted officers to see their new ranks as a call to duty and put in their best in the discharge of their responsibility.
