Independence Day: Plateau Governor to transform state with workable policies

The Plateau state Governor Barrister Caleb Mutfwang, says his administration is working out policies and programmes aimed at making the lives of the citizens better.

He made this known in a state broadcast on the occasion of Nigeria’s 64th independence anniversary.

He said “As Governor of Plateau State, I see the daily struggles of our people, and I want to assure you that I feel your pain. I stand with you in these trying times, and I am committed to finding lasting solutions that will bring relief. We are currently working on policies and programmes in several sectors, including Agriculture, transportation, education, healthcare, and other aspects of economic development to alleviate the impact of the economic downturn,” he stated.

Governor Mutfwang also appealed to citizens for patience and understanding as they put measures in place to cushion the effects of this crisis.

“The road to recovery is challenging, but I am confident that, together, we will prevail.

“My team and I are resolute in our determination to transform Plateau State. We must rebuild the foundations that have been gradually eroded and chart a new way going forward. This is a solemn commitment and you can count on us. As we navigate these difficult times, I urge you to maintain your trust in our government’s efforts. We are not resting on our oars in our commitment to restoring security and peace to every part of our state.”

He added that security agencies are working tirelessly, and progress is being made in the fight against insecurity.

Adding that they will continue to prioritize the safety and well-being of Plateau Citizens.

“I ask for your continued cooperation as we tackle these issues head-on. In reflecting on our 64 years of independence, let us not lose sight of the fact that, despite the challenges, Nigeria has remained one nation, strong, united, and full of potential. We have overcome great adversity before, and I have no doubt that we will rise above these current difficulties as well. Let us remain hopeful and united in our pursuit of peace, progress, and prosperity for Plateau State and for Nigeria as a whole. We shall come out stronger,” he added.
