To ensure a peaceful and secure Eid-el-Kabir celebration, the Gombe State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has deployed 900 personnel across the state.

Under the directive of Commandant Jibrin Idris, the deployment forms part of proactive security measures aimed at protecting lives and property during the festive period.

The initiative, launched through Operational Order No. 5/2025, mandates Area Commanders, Divisional Officers, Tactical Units, and Sector Commanders to intensify surveillance and patrols across strategic locations.

The operation focuses on securing worship grounds, safeguarding critical national assets, and preventing potential security threats.

The NSCDC also aims to ensure public order is maintained throughout the celebrations.

Commandant Idris outlined the core objectives of the operation, which include safeguarding lives and property before, during, and after the festivities, preventing attacks on critical public and private infrastructure, ensuring the safety of worshippers across designated prayer grounds and promoting general peace and stability throughout the state.

The Commandant extended his best wishes to the Muslim faithful, encouraging residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the nearest security agency.

He stated that the NSCDC Gombe State Command was committed to delivering top-notch security services to the people of Gombe State, while assuring them of an unwavering dedication to duty and relentless efforts to ensure a safe and secure environment for all.
