Nigeria’s Flamingoes bounced back to winning ways after spanking New Zealand 4-0 in their second match of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup ongoing in India.
Having lost 2-1 to Germany in their first match, the Nigerians ran riot to ensure a berth in the quarter-finals remains on the cards.
They took the lead in the first half through Amina Bello ( 16′ minutes) and Miracle Usani ( 34’minutes ).

The crowd in Goa were baying for more goals but had to wait till the 75th minute as Afolabi Taiwo Tewogbola fired in the third, and the Nigerians finished the job on 95 minutes as substitute Etim Edidiong ensured the All Blacks cannot make it beyond round one.

The Flamingoes can now look forward to making it out of their group when they come up against Chile on Monday.
