Indonesia Urges Religious Faiths to Maintain Peace

The Indonesian Ambassador to Nigeria, Ambassador Usra Harahab, has urged different religious followers in the world to maintain peace and live in harmony for global socio-economic development.

He said this in Abuja during an event organised by the Indonesian Embassy to mark the Eid Fitr celebration.

This is the kind of diplomatic mission that aims to keep together different Nations, different religions live in peace and harmony especially in Nigeria to make the world a better place to live, the differences in religions and cultures will not make us separate away”, Ambassador Usra Harahab explained.

One of the Diplomats on the occasion, the Ambassador of the Republic of Egypt to Nigeria, Ambassador Ihab  Awabsaid, such an event strengthens cultural and religious affiliations which guarantee peace and living together.

Different countries with different faiths  from the North and the South came together to celebrate Sallah with the diplomatic community The significance of this is the show of solidarity, a show of cultural affinity that cut across the religious and cultural front line that we see now IN our life, is a sign of unity represents from the diplomatic community in Nigeria”   Ambassador Ihab  Awabsaid,

 The Event is aimed at extending the Indonesian tradition of inviting people from different religious faiths to come together during Sallah Celebrations to share joy and strengthen their cultural differences.
