APC candidate wins Lokoja-Kogi Federal Constituency

Nigeria’s Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the House of Representatives Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Danladi Aguye, winner of the House of Representatives election.

Aguye scored 28,579 votes to defeat the incumbent Federal Legislator, Shaba Ibrahim, of the main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who closely followed with 27,553 votes to come second in the close contest for the House of Representatives seat in Lokoja-Kogi Federal Constituency.

Similarly, the Electoral Commission has also announced the candidate of the APC, Sunday Karimi, winner of the Senatorial election in Kogi West Senatorial district having defeated his PDP opponent in the election, Teejay Yusuf, while the results of two other Senatorial elections are still underway.

The presidential election results from 19 local government areas have been declared at the state collation centre, remaining 3 LGAs in Kogi state which has twenty-one Local Government Areas.
