The INEC Returning Officer for Edo State, Professor Farouk Adamu who is also a Professor at the Federal University Minna, Niger state said the reason for the recess was for results for the remaining two local government areas of Oredo and Ikpoba -Okha, to be ready as they were still at the field.
However, the two local government areas are closes to the INEC headquarters in Benin City, raising concerns from some quarters why results from the 2 local government areas are yet to arrive while the ones farther away have arrived and has been announced.
