INEC Ready for Guber Polls in Kogi State

The Nigeria Police have vowed to deal with political thugs and criminal elements that may want to disrupt the Saturday’s Governorship Election in the state.

The DIG, Operations, Ahmed Habu-Sani, gave the warning during a news conference held at the Kogi Police Command.
Various deployments
Habu-Sani said security presence would be felt in all nooks and crannies of Kogi state in the election as various deployments of personnel have been made.
This is because we have prioritised the deployment in proportionate to areas security needs and condition.
“We have all the needed officers or personnel at all levels. Some came from afar to boost our work.
“The security operatives on the field shall ensure restrictions of movement. So only those who have been accredited with stickers that  will be allowed to move, ” he said
The DIG further said that the security operatives were very ready to secure the state and contain every unpleasant situation before, during and after the election.
He then warned those, who may want to test their might to try and see the result because “we are ready to deal with them.” 
Adequate security
According to him, the electorate should be rest assured of adequate security during the election.
The DIG called for information on trouble makers from residents to help them contain their nefarious activities.
This become imperative because we want a free, fair and peaceful conduct of the election.”

He said the security is going to be in two folds, security cover for voters, INEC officials and protection of lives and property of all residents for Kogi to remain peaceful.
