Nigeria's Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has urged business conglomerates to invest more in the country, saying it will boost their profits and the nation's economy.Idris spoke at the opening ceremony of Bon Octagon Hotel, a new luxury property in Abuja on Wednesday. He said that Nigeria offers a conducive environment for investment and that businesses should expand their operations across the country.He also praised Bon Hotel, a South African hospitality group, for exemplifying President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda, a policy framework aimed at improving infrastructure, security, and social welfare in Nigeria.The Minister of Trade and Industry, Doris Uzoka-Anite, who also attended the event, said that Bon Hotel's expansion in Nigeria shows its confidence in the Nigerian market. Other dignitaries at the event included the Minister of Tourism Lola Ade-John and the Minister of Women Affairs Uju Kennedy.
Bon Hotel operates 25 hotels in Nigeria and plans to open more in the coming years, according to its website. The group has a presence in seven African countries.
