A Non-Governmental Organisation, Universal Migration Enlightenment Centre, UMEC and Global Migration Research Institute, GMRI, has commended the efforts of Nigerian Ministers, offering a capacity building to further enhance their service delivery.

The institute is offering the training as the Ministers mark 100 days in office.

Universal Migration Enlightenment Centre, UMEC and Global Migration Research Institute, GMRI said the training is towards actualising the eight points Renewed Hope Agenda of Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu, at the National, State and Local levels.

The President of GMRI and UMEC, Dr Williams Ijoma stated this in a media parley with journalists in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

Dr Ijoma said the institute is committed in making “the Agenda a success to the admiration of the President and Nigerians if given such an opportunity.”

He said the institute has been “monitoring and keeping tab on the performance of some Nigeria’s Ministers in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu’s administration.”

The Non-governmental Organisation further called on Nigerians to give peace a chance and allow the Ministers to concentrate and execute their tasks in their efforts to bring Nigeria back to reckoning.

Dr. Ijoma said that “One notable action to commend is the way the Minister of Interior, Mr. Tunji Ojo, handled the procurement and issuance of Nigerian Passport.”

He also said that the Nigerian Interior “Minister did not only fast track the process of acquiring the Passport, but has become Automated in which everything is now Online and within two or three weeks, the Passport is ready for collection.”

The Non-governmental Organisation noted that “Some Nigerians in the Diaspora have been victims of the slow and corruption induced system of the old ways.” but that “This new initiative by the Minister of Interior, Mr Tunji Ojo, is worth celebrating and commendable.”

The Universal Migration Enlightenment Centre, UMEC and Global Migration Research Institute, GMRI urged “him to continue with this feat already achieved despite the distractions going on.”

It further commended Mr. Ojo’s “laudable programmes in the Correctional facilities across the country, where there is an improvement in the welfare of inmates, unlike before. These initiatives will attract some smacks and tend to slow down the pace of work in the ministry.”

Dr Ijoma commended Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the stern measures taken so far to curb corruption and the probe panel set up to unravel the alleged financial mess.

He urged Nigerians to allow the panel to work and conclude its tasks before trading blames.
