Itsekiri leaders urge Federal government on appointments, development

Leaders of the ruling, All Progressives Congress (APC) in Itsekiri nation have called on the Federal Government to consider Itsekiri nation for appointments and infrastructural developments.

The APC leaders spoke at a crucial meeting in Koko, headquarters of Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State.

They also called on President Muhammadu Buhari to “give marching orders” to those carrying out the forensic audit of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) to conclude the exercise for an inclusive representation of people of the region in the agency.

The meeting was hosted by two-time Commissioner, Alex Ideh, who urged all APC faithful in Itsekiri nation to embrace unity and work together so as to attract the needed federal appointments and development to the area.

Ologbotsere of Warri and APC chieftain, Chief Ayirimi Emami, Chief Michael Odeli; Comrade Alex Eyengho were among party chieftains present.

Organising Secretary of the state APC, Sir Amorighoye Mene, said having realised that “pitching interest here and there” weakens the party, hence the need for “a consensus.”
