ITTF Level 3 Coaching Program Ends in Tunisia
The ITTF Level 3 Coach Education program, held in Tunisia from February 13th – 20th, 2025, has successfully concluded, marking a significant milestone in the development of table tennis coaching across Africa.
The program, organised by the ITTF Sports Development Department, took place at the Hotel Africa in Tunis, with 17 candidates, including 4 women and 10 men, from three African regions participating.
The three-day High-Performance component of the course was led by esteemed Slovenian expert Joze Urh, who guided both theoretical and practical sessions.
The training covered a wide range of advanced topics, such as world ranking systems, coaches’ regulations, cutting-edge techniques, fitness training, and the science of the human body, offering participants a comprehensive understanding of the sport.
After completing the practical and theoretical components, participants were assessed, with 10 successfully passing the course.
Four of the participants will be eligible for ITTF High-Level Coaching Education after fulfilling the remaining requirements.
This program was designed to empower coaches across Africa and enhance their knowledge of the game.
By blending theoretical insights with hands-on practical experience, the course enabled participants to immediately apply their new knowledge to real-world situations.
