The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has warned candidates who applied for the 2024 Direct Entry (DE) admission using awaiting results from the Interim Joint Matriculation Board Examination (IJMB) or the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) that failure to upload their results will lead to disqualification.
In a statement issued on Sunday, JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin urged the affected candidates to visit any approved Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre to upload their results as soon as they are released.
Benjamin noted that many candidates registered for the 2024 DE admission with awaiting results but have yet to upload them.
He emphasised that “no candidate would be considered for admission without valid results, in line with JAMB’s policy for Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) candidates.”
“Any application marked as ‘awaiting result’ (AR) that does not comply with this directive will be disqualified from admission consideration,” the statement read.
Benjamin further stressed that all credentials must be verified to determine candidates’ eligibility.
“Candidates without uploaded results will be regarded as not having any results,” he said.
Benjamin also advised prospective applicants for the 2025 DE admission to be proactive by ensuring they upload their results promptly upon release to improve their chances of securing admission.
