Japan Airlines (JAL) announced on thursday that its systems have been restored, allowing same-day ticket sales to resume after a cyberattack caused delays in some domestic and international flights.

The attack, which started at 7:24 a.m., impacted both internal and external systems.

JAL addressed the issue by temporarily shutting down a router causing the malfunctions and suspending ticket sales for flights departing that day.

The company confirmed that no customer information was compromised, and there was no damage from computer viruses.

Meanwhile, ANA Holdings, another major Japanese airline, reported no signs of similar attacks on its systems, according to a spokesperson.

Separately, American Airlines faced a brief grounding of all flights for an hour this week, affecting travel plans for thousands of passengers on Christmas Eve due to a technical glitch involving network hardware.
