In a recent announcement by President Tinubu, Jibrin Baba Ndace was appointed the Director General and Chief Executive Officer of Voice of Nigeria (VON), bringing a wealth of experience and accomplishments to this prestigious role.
Jibrin Baba Ndace, a renowned personality in Nigerian journalism and public relations, was born on August 17, 1974.
Having graduated with a degree in English from Bayero University, Kano, in 2002, Mr. Ndace possesses a solid foundation in language and communication. His career has spanned over ten years and encompasses both journalism and public relations.

In 2004, he commenced his journalistic journey at Market Magazine, a business-oriented publication that focuses on policy and economic matters. As the General Manager of Special Projects at Blueprint Newspaper, he has amassed considerable experience as a combat journalist by reporting from conflict zones, especially in the northeast region of Nigeria.
Mr Ndace has established himself as a public affairs commentator, media consultant, youth vanguard, and peace advocate. He is actively involved in countering violent extremism and hate speech within the social media space, earning him recognition as a global change agent.
Jibrin Baba Ndace boasts significant international experience, having attended various media events and workshops across multiple countries, including Ghana, Kenya, Togo, Benin, Ethiopia, the UAE, Mauritius, Indonesia, Turkey, the UK, India, and Kosovo. It is worth noting that he was the sole African journalist granted an invitation to provide coverage of the momentous inauguration of President Joko Widodo alongside Vice President Jusuf Kalla in Indonesia in October 2014.
In addition to his other accomplishments, Mr Ndace is a distinguished author who has authored a trilogy on Nigeria’s counter-insurgency operations. His literary works comprise “Walking the War Front with Lt. Gen. TY Buratai,” “Duty Call Under Buratai’s Command,” and “The Lonely Grave,” which is an anthology of poems.
