The Federal Constituency By-elections in Jigawa State North West Nigeria have recorded large turn out of voters who storm various Polling units to exercise franchise.
The By-ellections is holding in two local governments of Garki and Babura.
A visit to Polling unit 001 by Voice of Nigeria Correspondent in Garki town indicates large turn out of voters in unit which commenced voting at 8:30am local time.

The Presiding officer of the unit Mr. Ioryue Iorfa told Voice of Nigeria that, the unit has 984 registered voters and that all elections materials are complete with voters conducting themselves orderly.
The large turn out of voters was also the same at Kofar Kudu polling unit which has over one thousand registered voters.
At Garki special Primary School polling unit 004 similar turn of voters were seen queueing to cast their votes.
The Presiding officer, Umar Murtala in an interview said, the unit with 946 accredited voters has received all materials in good time and that the process was moving fine.

The elections in polling unit 011 in Garki with 750 registered voters was moving peacefully as at the time of this report.
The Presiding officer, Obanla Damilola said the Bimodal Voter Accreditation BIVAS machine giving to the unit was working without hitch.

The situation of large turn out of electorate was the same in some polling units, though slightly different in some.
In all the polling units visited, voters turn out to cast their votes in a peaceful manner.
Some of the voters interviewed commended the timely arrival of election materials and the peaceful conduct of the process.
Also, some party agents who spoke to Voice of Nigeria expressed satisfaction with arrangements provided by the INEC and the conduct of electorates.
The by-election follows the death of the former representative, Hon Isa Yaro, who passed away on May 10, 2024, at the age of 46. INEC scheduled the poll for August 16, 2025, to fill the vacant seat.
